A strangely patriotic wish list.

Although I hail not from the land of freedom and Jesus, their patriotic colour palette does, however, tickle my fancy. I am huge for red and blue, and when the weather is so shitty, I desperately seek solace in bright colours. 

Here lay some of my most wanted and drooled over items. Shoes range in order of highest to lowest in price starting at the top being Louboutin, and the bottom end being a Converse x Comme Des Garçons collaborative sneaker. 

Featured also is of course, the Proenza Schouler PS1 handbag, this time in red python. Some Dannijo thrown in for good measure and an Acne blue suede biker jacket. 

The Stussy tee is easy and comfortable, while Nudie really do make THE BEST denim. 

For when your countries flag isn't kitsch, and toting it makes you look a bogan, viva la Americana!

Wishing for warmth!

When it's bucketing down outside, you start wishing for warmer weather again. This is whats stuck in my mind right now!

How to?

Recently I had a reader ask me how to style coloured denim. Initially I had a flurry of thoughts come to mind and found it too hard to condense my suggestion into a text message. Exactly what does and does not work when rocking your favourite pair of denim jeans? Especially if these jeans scream fire (engine red), or are more subtle like teal or burgundy. 

This got me thinking about How-To. Here is my basic guide for pairing coloured denim with shoes, tops, jackets and scarves. Take this as a 101 lesson and build from it. I've let the denim do the talking and suggested classic shapes and styles to compliment this seasons must have item.

Quick side note: If you choose to wear black shoes with coloured denim such as bright red or yellow, be sure to tie in black somewhere on the top too, with either a scarf or jacket. Otherwise black shoes can be quite jolting and interrupt your silhouette.
